that music has the power to unite people across cultures and backgrounds, to transform perspectives, and to foster empathy and understanding.
In a time of overproduction and digital abundance, we aim to provide something authentic and enduring: a space for emerging artists to experiment, play, and make mistakes while we collectively experience music and assure each other that our vulnerabilities should be celebrated and not concealed; a place far from the confines of categorization, a place of artistic freedom.
In September 2023, we had the honor to welcome Mexican music producer Jiony and Berlin based DJ Lisa Thaens on board and to be accompanied by Sara from Perola Filmes to capture our first draft of the 'Tiny Boat Sessions'. Our dream for 2024 is to create more of those live music events that will be professionally recorded, edited and shared across the borders of Berlin - to promote diversity in Berlin’s cultural scene, to provide an alternative to the dominant techno scene, and to offer a space for both relaxation and creative expression. There are numerous talented producers in our community who are tired of sharing their music in the familiar party atmosphere. Musicians who blend electronic beats with classical elements, accentuating their vocals with their personal stories and electronic beats. Many of them wish for the same attention and focused listening as an artist in the Berlin Philharmonie. They too have an inspiring story to tell, thoughts to stimulate, and emotions to share. And that’s exactly what we want to create: a place where electronic meets analog, where we give a voice to those who truly deserve to be heard, seen, and felt.
